Waterproof battery chargers
Our company offers many waterproof and hermetically sealed products.
There are many factors that determine the type of charger required for a particular application. Choosing the right charger is very important to ensure not only that all requirements are met but also that the charger is not over specified resulting in a more costly solution than is required. One of the primary considerations is the operating environment.
The following environmental factors should be considered:
Will the charger be used in an extreme temperature or high humidity environment?
Will it be exposed to the elements?
Will it be used in a polluted environment with dust and grime?
Will it be used where condensation can be produced?
Is an extreme temperature range required for very cold environments? Chargetek offers units which can perform at -35°C
Are there vibration and shock requirements for on-board use?
Will the charger be used for mobility, marine or industrial applications where severe vibration can occur regularly?
If your application falls into any of the above criteria, then the waterproof series should be considered. The Chargetek waterproof series is a high end industrial and military grade product. In addition to waterproofing, the product is also fully encapsulated. The encapsulation material completely encases all of the electronic components and effectively creates a "brick." This prevents internal components from "shaking loose" and resulting in failure. In addition, the encapsulation provides a hermetic seal that makes the charger impervious to environmental pollutants. Chargetek uses only UL94V-0 thermally conductive encapsulation material to ensure the highest level of safety.
